Disabling Your Web Browser’s Pop-up Blocker

Tip: Before starting any troubleshooting steps, please check for updates within your web browser. Using the most recent version of your web browser will ensure you have the best experience with our site.

Frontline Online Resources are launched in a separate window. When accessing an online resource, a pop-up window will display automatically to allow you to view and interact with the resource. If you click the Launch button on any resource and a pop-up window does not appear, we suggest checking the browser settings to disable the “Pop-up Blocker”.

Follow the instructions* below to disable pop-up blocker from your browser.

If a web page in Google Chrome tries to send you a pop-up when your blocker is turned on, an icon with a red "x" will appear in your address bar. Clicking the icon will provide you with the following options:

  • Always allow pop-ups from this site
  • Continue blocking pop-ups
  • Manage pop-up blocking

If a web page in Microsoft Edge (or Internet Explorer) tries to send you a pop-up when your blocker is turned on, an information bar will appear in the window. Clicking the information bar will provide you with the following options:

  • Temporarily allow pop-ups from this site (until the web browser is closed)
  • Always allow pop-ups from this site
  • Adjust pop-up blocker settings

If a web page in Firefox tries to send a pop-up when your blocker is turned on, an information bar will appear at the top of the browser window. Clicking the Options button within the information bar will provide you with the following options:

  • Allow pop-ups from this site
  • Edit the pop-up blocker options
  • Choose to never show an information bar when pop-ups are blocked
  • Display the blocked pop-up window

Safari for Mac

When the pop-up blocker is turned on, there is no obvious alert that a pop-up has been blocked. Go into Safari's settings to turn off the pop-up blocker.

Open Safari and click Safari in the bar at the top of the screen.

Select Preferences from the drop-down menu.

Click the Security tab.

Under Web content, uncheck Block pop-up windows.

Safari for PC

When your blocker is turned on, there is no obvious alert that a pop-up has been blocked. Go into Safari's settings to turn off the pop-up blocker.

Open Safari and click the settings icon located in the upper right of the window.

In the drop-down menu, uncheck Block Pop-Up Windows.
